PhD scholarships

The EHESS Doctoral School offers 33 Doctoral Contracts and one Doctoral Contract reserved for students with disabilities for the year 2020-2021.

The new EHESS 2TI Doctoral program will award one Doctoral Contract this year through competition (with the possibility for classified candidate(s) to be selected for another contract by the Doctoral School Jury, which will meet in a second phase). All information can be found here.

2TI Doctoral Training Application Submission Calendar:

For those who would like to apply this year, please take note of this calendar:

  • September 7, 2020: Deadline for application. Applications will then be evaluated by the members of the 2TI doctoral program’s pedagogical team. Download the application form here.
  • September 11, 2020: Candidates selected for an interview will be notified.
  • September 15, 2020: the hearing, either in person (54, bd Raspail 75006, Paris) or remotely (depending on the public health context), will last about twenty minutes in the form of an interview with the members of the jury.
  • September 22, 2020: EHESS ED Doctoral Contracts are awarded by a jury of the Doctoral School Council.
  • September 24, 2020: date of publication of results on the EHESS website

The decision to award a Doctoral Contract is equivalent to admission to the doctoral program. The laureates will be contacted by the Doctoral School’s administration to proceed with their registration. Once these formalities have been completed, they will be contacted by the Office of Contractual Personnel for the establishment of the doctoral contract.
